Movies

I have started doing a different kind of Secret Shopping. Yesterday I went to a movie theater and had to go to first day running of movies and report on the trailers shown before the movie. If the movie is on more than one screen I have to go to each screen and report on it. Yesterday I had to report on the movies 42 and Scary Movie 5. I had to hang around the theater for a while because the showings were at 1:10 for Scary Movie 5, 1:35 for 42, and 2:20 for the second screen of Scary Movie 5. I would like to do this more often since I often go to movies alone and this way I don't have to pay for them, in fact they pay me.

I was able to roam the theater and the only other movie I wanted to see was Olympus Has Fallen so I sat on that movie also. I have wanted to see 42 for a while and I was not disappointed. I look at the way to judge movies as what emotions they bring out in you. I like seeing movies that make me laugh and cry and feel fear and leave happy. The movie 42 was able to bring out all my emotions. I don't often laugh out loud at movies, but when the white guy asked Jackie Robinson why he waits for everyone else to finish their shower and Jackie said he didn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable it made me feel like Jackie Robinson was a sincere person.

When the white guy wanted Jackie to feel like he was part of the team and told him to take a shower together, I laughed out loud. It kept me going when the guy kept trying to correct himself and the way it sounded. This movie had many memorable moments and it is one of those movies I will never forget. I am happy to hear people say it is pretty accurate. What a man!!

I also saw 2 other movies yesterday.
Olympus Has Fallen was terrible. It was really inaccurate and made me feel unpatriotic. The terrorists had the president of the United States held captive so the acting president had the military pull out of the "DMZ" which is only a few hundred, rather than pull out of Korea which is tens of thousands. He also pulled out the 7th Fleet which didn't really make sense to me because that is the fleet in the Pacific Ocean, does that mean they went to the Atlantic Ocean? There were so many problems with that movie that I walked out of the movie, and it was free!

I decided to watch Scary Movie 5 because I had to kill some time before 42 was on and wanted to watch it from the beginning. When the first Scary Movie was out I didn't like it and I think it is getting worse as the more of them come out. 42 was in one theater and Scary Movie 5 was in two theaters. 42 theater was 80% full and each of the Scary Movie 5 theaters was 10% full. This was the worse movie I have ever seen. The jokes were so bad I was embarrassed for the actors that had to say them. The plot, which there never is one, was so confusing that I thought I was watching different movies. The audience was all under 25 and I would have been sad to see any of my kids at the movie. Next week I'm supposed to see Oblivion with Tom Cruise.
