Forgotten Key

Today I went to 2 schools, one for an appointment and one to give the results of the ASVAB. I enjoy going to schools.

I decided to drive to Monterey tonight and stay at my Mom's house because I must be at a school near her house tomorrow morning. I got there and then realized I forgot my key to her house, since she wasn't home. I had to drive the hour and a half back and get the key and drive back. Why didn't I just stay in a hotel instead you ask? ... I had also forgotten my computer and I need that for the appointment in the morning. Thank goodness I enjoy driving and listening to a very good audio book ... so I want to hear more of it!

I went to Safeway today to buy something. As I was walking in I saw a guy in a motorized wheelchair sitting in a corner outside the building. I didn't know what he was doing until I walked past him and saw that he had his wheelchair plugged into the wall and was recharging it. Wow, a homeless guy in a motorized wheel chair. He was dirty, but seemed like a nice guy. I said hi as I walked in. My daughter will tell you that I am crazy about ice cream, sometimes a little addicted. I wanted to get an ice cream bar before my long drive tonight, which turned into an EXTRA LONG drive. The only thing I could find was Hagan Dasz which comes in a carton with 3 bars. As I walked out I stopped by the guy charging his wheelchair, reached into the carton and gave him an ice cream bar. I'm sure he was surprised... I didn't say much, just I bought you an ice cream, then walked away. I hope he is doing ok tonight ... I like doing nice things for people.
