The road to Lake Tahoe |
|
Lake Tahoe Jan 2012 |
Today I started from my house at 7am and drove to Fresno, California. It is a two and a half hour drive, but took me three and a half hours. On the way I stopped every now and then to take pictures. I do this because it makes me feel like others are traveling with me (when they see the pictures) and it helps me to stretch so I don't feel so sore when I get to my destination. I got to Fresno around 10:30am and met with people I work with for an hour then visited two schools. I then worked in a different school for an hour and started driving again. I had to drive four and a half hours to South Lake Tahoe, California. I stopped and took pictures and got gas and something to eat on the way so I got here around 7:30pm.
As I drive around I see lots of interesting things, from billboards for legal help for people that get in accidents while reading billboards to horse ranches that train horses by hooking them up to a circle thing to teach them ... I don't know, maybe how to walk in a circle. Driving into Tahoe tonight it was dark and no lights on the road as I drove through the mountains. I really was uncomfortable driving tonight. There was snow and ice on the road and the road was narrow and the lights from oncoming traffic was in my eyes. I was glad to make it here.

Lake Tahoe was beautiful last time I was their in winter. Hope you have clear skies while there and clear highways on your trip home.
ReplyDeleteWhoops....should proofread..."last time I was there", not their.
