Give Back!

SF ESL meetup
Tonight I went to a MeetUp meeting in San Francisco. If you don't know about MeetUp check it out at www.meetup.com. This is a group of ESL students that meet to improve their English. I first went to one of their meetings about 2 weeks ago recruiting for students for my teacher students to teach. I was really impressed with the people that were in the group and I wanted to help them by teaching them how to play different card games. 15 people attended the MeetUp and we played cards for a couple of hours. It was fun and I get a lot of satisfaction helping others.
What is a KimChi Facial?
This group was established by a guy named Nobu from Japan. He is a really nice guy that came here three years ago and many people helped him learn English. He started this group to help the people that have come here recently meet others so they can learn English faster and enjoy themselves in this new country. Nobu is GREAT, he spends a lot of his time in making sure his group grows and everyone is happy. He gives back to the society that has helped him and doing that gives him pleasure. I think we should all learn from that. Giving back sometimes makes us happier than what we originally got!!
