Tomorrow is the 4th of July and I will run a 5K on the parade route in Redwood City before the parade. I had to go pick up my "bib" (number) this afternoon and I had some time to kill so I walked the route I will run tomorrow. I have never done that before and it was interesting to see where I will run before running. Tomorrow will also be different because I will run around a mile track 3 times, I have run up and back, but haven't seen the route three times. It will also be strange tomorrow because there will be an audience. Since the race is right before the parade people will be sitting to watch the race as well as the parade. Today there were chairs already set up on the race route.
They will really think it is strange when they see me running and taking pictures of them as I run. Usually it is the people that watch that take the pictures, not get pictures taken of them. It took me about 40 minutes to walk around the mile route today and tomorrow it will take me about 30 minutes to run around it 3 times. I am looking forward to it. Because I am going to be watched I bought a hat to wear that looks like a flag and a bandana that is red while and blue. I will get pictures of me, of course, and let you see what I look like. My foot has been hurting me all week which is one reason I walked around the course today, to give me exercise. I hope I can finish the race tomorrow! Wish me luck!!
