Proverbs 16:33: The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. Today I was working in Cosumnes Oaks High School in Elk Grove, California and during my presentation I had mentioned that my daughter attended Santa Clara High School. One of the girls in the class said her cousin went to the same school. We talked a little more and found out that her cousin was my daughter's best friend. They were on the softball and volleyball teams together. Yesterday was a softball game and I sat next to her uncle and we are fairly good friends. It really felt like a small world! After my class this same girl came and talked to me about the military. She wants to go into the military, but isn't sure which service. I told her to follow what I taught them today about researching jobs and then go to each of the services and find out what they offer. Listen to them and see if any of them offer a job that she had liked during her research and then seriously think about that service. She had an outstanding score on her aptitude test that all the services will want her. I don't often talk about my religious beliefs, but with her I thought it was important to say what I really believe. I told her to trust the way God guides her.
Follow your "feelings". I really believe that we can do what we THINK is right, but God will do what HE thinks is right and that is what will eventually happen. Even if we don't agree with what God wants HE will do what needs to happen for the balance of HIS plan. Many things have happened to me during my life and I have regretted many things. I don't like things, but in the long run I see that if that hadn't happened then the next experience I have wouldn't have happened. I don't always love the things God does, but I realize they are probably the right things according to His plan. I wish this girl the best of luck and I hope what happens is what she was hoping!
