I visit many different kinds of high schools. I have been to charter high schools, regular high schools, magnet high schools, high tech high schools, continuation high schools, and other alternative high schools. There are high school classes in adult schools and even high school classes in colleges. There is a big difference between high schools. When I look at test scores in some high schools in smaller cities the scores average 31, today I was in Sacramento and the scores averaged 65. In alternative schools the scores are lower, but the students are eager to be successful. Some of the regular high schools the scores are much higher, but the students have no idea what they will do in their future (that is what I do, give them ways to look at different opportunities). I like helping in all types of schools and I enjoy different types of students and their growth and when they really open their eyes to the world and future possibilities in their lives it makes me happy to be me. The reason there are so many different types of high schools is we all have different needs. I hope other countries see the advantages to allowing students find a way to reach their potential and realize that if a student drops out, then they stop learning and it is like a bird that never learns to fly so they have to walk every where.
