Day 3 - Another Day at Sea

We changed time again last night so I woke up at 8am and went to the gym. When I got there Sue and Mike were already there. Sue was leaving and Mike was still on the elliptical machine. I got on the treadmill and put it for 20 minutes. Mile was still on the machine so I stayed until he finished so I wasn’t chastised. When he finished I got off the treadmill and started back to my room and he went over to the weights, ok, he won. At 9 was a beginner’s bridge class I sat in on. It was the same lady I met at the casino the night before. It was a great class and I learned a lot, I can’t wait for the next one the day after tomorrow. I ate lunch with the family and then Mike and I went up to play shuffleboard. We really didn’t know how to play and were making up our own rules. Two guys from Australia explained the rules and after they left many people walked by and asked us the rules. We were laughing because all the old people were asking us the rules and we thought it was funny that old people were asking young people how to play an old persons game. It was fun and then I went to the Dancing With the Stars competition. They will be teaching 4 dances during the cruise and after each dance they will have a competition. The overall winner will get a gold star and the chance to win a free cruise. There were about 20 of us and we all just got a partner and followed their routine. After about 30 minutes the 4 “professionals” from the cruise line chose a partner and we danced on the stage to get judged. The dance was the Lindy which I have never danced, but there were so few men at the competition I was chosen to dance on the stage with a professional dancer. It was a lot of fun and I got second out of 4 competitors. We will do it again in a couple of days and dance the Waltz, I can’t wait. At 3 they had a basketball challenge where we played HORSE and I went to go watch Mike. Since there were only 4 competitors I joined even though I don’t really like basketball. I got 3rd place of 5 people. I then went to go take an hour nap and we all ate dinner together. After dinner we went t o watch the movie, “42”. I have seen it before and really liked it. I had suggested that my mom watch the movie and now she did and agreed with me that is was very good. After the movie Mike and I went to go sit in on the comedian. Glenn Hirsh was pretty good. I like when comedians can be funny without having a foul mouth. One joke that I really liked is when he was talking about going through the airport lines and one TSA agent said what is your last name and first initial. He said Hirsh was his last name and his first initial was G and in gnat. After the show I put my blog on line and went to bed. Every night before I sleep I walk outside on the deck that allows you to walk around the ship. Last night was nice and peaceful. It seems to be getting warmer every day now. I am glad no more time changes for a while. Tomorrow is the first shore excursion to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I am looking forward to it.
